615 BEER

Gulla Design was approached by 615 Brewing Company to create a logo for their new line of beer to be sold in Nashville, TN, where the 615 area code is used. 615 felt the logo should represent Nashville, but not in an obvious way. We started with a typeface reminiscent of the early days of Nashville, used a skull, which a Native American is holding on the existing Nashville flag, picked a verse from a famous Elvis song that was a hit on Music Row, and used a pattern in the background that suggests the spotlights in the Grand Ol' Opry.  All of these graphic elements point to the history of Nashville, and were used throughout the bottle and 6-pack designs.
